Kathy J. Fuchser, Ed.D.
Columbus Campus President/Division VP Central Community College – Columbus Campus

Kathy J. Fuchser, Ed.D., holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education/English from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri. She earned a Master of Science in Education from Wayne State College and a Doctorate of Education specializing in Educational Studies from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

Fuchser is the Central Community College Columbus Campus President, as well as Vice President of Academic Education, Extended Learning Services and Training and Development Divisions of Central Community College. She has been employed with Central since 2014, previously as the Dean of Instruction for Academic Education for the college. She began her career in 1989 as a high school English teacher, first in Missouri and then Nebraska, teaching dual-credit courses for Central Community College before transitioning to higher education as a Professor of Education at Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska.

Fuchser serves as a Board Member for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce and partners with United Way and Centro Hispanos to promote educational opportunities and is an Ex-Officio member for the Central Community College Foundation. She also is the past recipient of the Omaha Archdiocese Teacher of the Year award, the Mielenz Fellowship from University of Nebraska–Lincoln and the Delta Kappa University Excellence in Teaching award.

Fuchser and her husband have three children and have lived in Columbus for 30 years.
