Lisa Hurley
Executive Director York County Development Corporation

Lisa Hurley is a Certified Economic Developer through the International Economic Development Council, as well as an Economic Developer Leadership Master Practitioner. She has been with York County Development Corporation (YCDC) in Nebraska since May 2013. In her role as the organization’s Executive Director, Hurley is responsible for oversight and management, business programing (retention, expansion, recruitment and development), marketing efforts and overseeing other YCDC efforts including housing and workforce efforts.

In 2000 Hurley changed career paths from the medical industry to the nonprofit world, where she worked on program development, fund development, public relations and client service. Today she finds motivation by helping one community, one business and one individual at a time in her job with YCDC.

Under her leadership, YCDC has expanded services by creating collaborative partnerships to add talent, retail and housing initiatives, while staying active in industry and business. Her committed leadership is making a positive long-term impact in York County’s future by fostering relationships, short- and long-term planning efforts including due diligence, building on best practices with creativity, adopting technology and utilizing collaboration and partnerships.

Hurley currently serves on the following boards: National Rural Economic Developers Association, Southeast Nebraska Economic Development District Executive Committee (past Board Chair), York Rotary (Past-President), York Chamber of Commerce and the York County Health Coalition.
