There’s a lot to be excited about as JAG Nebraska continues to grow and create opportunities for students across our state. Thanks to strong public-private partnerships, JAG Nebraska will serve more than 5,500 students through 90 programs this school year — building on a 99% graduation rate last year.
We’re grateful for the people and partners who believe in our students, help them discover what’s possible for their futures and support our work to build a skilled, talented workforce for Nebraska for years to come.

Meet Pedro Zetino-Ramirez, a driven JAG Nebraska student gaining hands-on experience through an apprenticeship with Fremont Electric in Fremont, Nebraska! ⚡
🔧 Apprenticeship Experience
Pedro’s days start early as he heads to the job site, ready to learn from his journeyman and take on new challenges. From building boxes to wiring outlets, he quickly grew comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
“The first couple of weeks weren’t too bad because I was still new and figuring out what everything was and where it went. It allowed me to learn at my own pace, ask questions and build confidence on the job.”

🔧 Apprenticeship Experience
Braxton gained real-world insight working with Rief Design & Manufacturing and RM Sales, all led by Adam Rief. From handling day-to-day tasks to seeing the bigger picture, he learned what it truly takes to run a successful business.
“It showed me how much it takes to operate a business like that.”
💡 Growth & Skills
Through JAG and his work experience, Braxton built confidence and strengthened communication skills, especially learning how to connect with others through conversation.
“Adam helped me realize the type of drafting I want to do, and the experience made me more confident as I enter the adult workforce.”
